After Completion of Endodontic Treatment FAQ
What should I expect after my endodontic treatment?
Endodontic treatment has now been completed. The root canal system has been permanently sealed. However, the outer surface is sealed with a temporary restoration. A permanent restoration must be placed to protect your tooth against fracture and decay. A complete report of treatment will be sent to your restorative dentist. Please contact your restorative dentist after your completed root canal for your permanent restoration. You should not chew on the tooth until after your follow up appointment. This will allow time for healing and will also protect your tooth from possible fracture. This follow up appointment should be scheduled approximately two weeks after your root canal.
